The Outlast thermoregulatory mechanism stores and releases body heat. As you move more or the outside temperature rises, Outlast's phase change paraffin-containing thermospheres begin to convert from solid to liquid while storing heat. This change will make you feel stable in your heat balance. The energy required to activate this process comes from your own body heat or an increase in outdoor temperature. As you begin to cool, Outlast’s thermo balls begin to change back from liquid to solid. In this deformation, the heat that the thermo balls store during movement is returned to you.
