Alpinestar Supertech S-M10 cross helmet.
Alpinestars will make a new takeover in 2019 when the result of five years of development work, the Supertech S-M10 Cross Helmet, is launched. True to its ways, Alpinestars is launching the most advanced, high-performance and safest helmet without sacrificing comfort.
The Supertech S-M10 outer shell consists of three layers. The outer shell is made of a carbon fiber blend developed exclusively for this product and whose function is to better absorb the impact energy into the material itself and to distribute the impact forces over a larger area. The second layer consists of a fiber composite that prevents the pile from collapsing but gives the shell flexible properties designed to reduce end-to-end forces. A layer containing Aramid fiber has been added under the outer shell to prevent the passage of an external object. The shells are produced in a total of four different sizes, which ensures the correct proportions for each size.
The inner shell is made of EPS polymer, which absorbs the forces transmitted from the outer shell while providing a firm feel to the helmet's inner profile. The density and thickness of the polymer shell varies in different parts of the helmet, providing the best fit without compromising safety.
The inner lining is completely unique and includes e.g. Alpinestars' patented “A-HEAD FIT” system, which offers interior adjustment options to achieve an individualized fit. The system attached to the inner shell allows adjustments in both height and length. The inner lining is made of Cool-max fabric, which effectively repels dirt and dries quickly after washing.
The helmet also has a Multi-Directional Impact Protection System (MIPS) that dampens the rotation of the brain and slows down the sudden stop that is most harmful to the brain in a collision.
The cap is part of the helmet's highly efficient air conditioning system and the cap is also designed to come off the helmet in the event of a collision. The sales package includes an extra box when purchased.
