The 790 KTM Adventure (R) AXP skid plate is made from 8mm thick HDPE (high density polytehtylen) plastic. The material allows maximum protection and is extremely light (3.2 Kg). Contrary to alloy plates, plastic is silent and does not reproduce the noise like rocks can make on alloy skid plates! Our model is not fitted directly in the engine to avoid issues and uses alloy brackets at the rear plus 4 points in the front frame. The tank protection is assured and avoid to buy crash bars as well. A mud guard and a decal kit are supplied! Our skid plate uses the unused center stand pivots for mounting, which makes it not compatible with any aftermarket center stands!
