SHOEI VFX-WR 06 Motocross Helmet
The SHOEI VFX-WR 06 is the latest version of Shoei's popular motocross helmet. This newest development brings the new-era ECE 22-06 certification, which means the helmet has passed the highest possible quality and safety standards currently available.
The VFX-WR 06 is still built for riders who value quality and want to protect their head with the best protective gear on the market. The advanced design of this helmet takes safety, practicality and looks all into account. Practically setting the bar for every standard in this segment, this helmet is the choice of countless professional athletes — and it'll be your choice too, at the latest once you've tried it on. A helmet that leaves no room for second-guessing, in a sport where second-guessing is a luxury you can't afford!
AIM+ Outer Shell
The outer shell is made from a fibre-composite blend with optimised density to achieve the best possible impact resistance and rigidity. The shell size varies according to helmet size, meaning every size option offers maximum protection while keeping the distance from your skull to the outer edge as small as possible for optimal safety. The outer shell is produced in four different sizes (XS-S | M | L | XL-XXL) and features up to six layers of fibre to absorb impacts.
EPS Inner Shell + M.E.D.S Motion Energy Distribution System
Beneath the outer shell, the EPS inner liner absorbs the impact forces transmitted through the outer shell. The EPS liner is divided into two sections: the outer continuous section dampens direct impact energy, while the inner section slows down rotational motion. The inner EPS liner in particular — SHOEI's own M.E.D.S system — is a highly advanced solution that reduces the rotational forces transferred to the brain in the event of a crash. This plays a crucial role when it comes to the impact forces that reach the brain and the injuries they can cause.
E.Q.R.S Emergency Quick Release System
The emergency quick release for the cheek pads in an accident situation makes it easier to remove the helmet without putting strain on the spine or neck. Cheek pads are available in four different sizes to ensure the best possible fit and, with it, the best possible safety.
3D Max-Dry Liner
The liner is made from a technical fabric that wicks away moisture and feels comfortable even when wet. The crown pad of the liner is available in three different thicknesses, allowing you to fine-tune the perfect fit. For the S and XS sizes, a thicker 17 mm pad is also available, which helps the helmet fit smaller heads and extends its service life. The helmet features a double-D ring fastening as well as a removable strap padding.
The SHOEI VFX-WR 06 is well ventilated with seven strategically placed air intakes and eight exhaust vents located at the rear. The helmet has an aerodynamic appearance, and the peak is stylishly integrated into the overall design.
The retail package includes, in addition to the helmet, a storage bag, spare peak screws (2 pcs), a mud guard for the chin section, an instruction manual, reflective stickers and Shoei logo stickers. White colourways additionally include a glare shield that mounts to the underside of the peak.
The liner, peak and other spare parts are cross-compatible with the older WFX-WR model.
