At the heart of its performance is Leatt's Alternative Load Path Technology - ALPT®, which means impact forces are channelled from the helmet to the body, bypassing the neck and cervical spine and thereby reducing the risk of injury. For ALPT to perform optimally, it is crucial that the neck brace fits extremely well. The SureFit adjusters located at the front and rear of the brace can be set to match the rider's body without tools and in under 30 seconds. To further optimise the fit, the brace features a comfortable CoreFlex back plate that can be adjusted to multiple angles.

The semi-rigid frame structure is adjustable to suit most riders, while remaining sufficiently sturdy to transfer impact energy in the event of a crash. A suitably rigid construction is vital for reducing the forces directed at the neck. A soft or flexible neck brace would be considerably weaker, or could even lose its protective capabilities over time. Pre-determined and engineered breakaway points are there to safeguard the rider.
