Atimpex A2 Power Reduction Kit

The power reduction kit adjusts your motorcycle's output to meet the requirements of the A2 driving licence category — with no need for dyno testing or emissions measurements.

In addition to the restrictor, the kit includes the necessary certificates and installation instructions.
Bike-specific power reduction kits can only be supplied on customer order.
Depending on the bike model, the power reduction kits operate mechanically and/or electronically.

After installing the kit, there's no need for a separate power measurement on a dynamometer or emissions testing — your bike is ready for modification inspection straight away.

Ordering Instructions:

Order the kit suitable for your bike through our online store.

Send us the following information about your bike by email to [email protected]

Make and model:
Year model:
Registration number:
Chassis number:
Date of first registration (or date of commissioning):

You can provide your bike's details, for example, by replying to the order confirmation you receive.

For motorcycles imported from abroad, the original date of commissioning replaces the Finnish first registration date. In these cases, please report your bike's original commissioning date.

If you're ordering a EURO 4 or EURO 5 kit, see the additional ordering instructions below.

Document (first registration from 1 January 2017)

Applies only to EURO 4, EURO 5 and EURO 5+ power reduction kits

Please review the additional instructions below if the kit name mentions a EURO emissions classification.

Motorcycles subject to the EURO 4, EURO 5 and EURO 5+ emissions classification (first registration from 1 January 2017) require, in addition to the basic bike details, an official document containing the motorcycle's registration number and date of first registration. This document is not required for kits that are not EURO 4, EURO 5 or EURO 5+ power reduction kits.

The document can be:

1)    A copy of the technical section of the registration certificate
2)    The Vehicle Information file from the Traficom website

Obtaining the document from the Traficom website:

  • Log in to the Traficom website
  • Go to the Vehicles section
  • Select your motorcycle
  • Select the "Vehicle Information" link (pdf file)
  • Save the file to your device
  • Send the document along with the other details to [email protected]

Please note:

Power reduction kits are always ordered from the factory using the individual details of the customer's bike.
Due to the bike-specific customisation, these kits cannot be exchanged or returned.
Power reduction kits cannot be ordered with cash on delivery.

Technical information on power reduction kits:

A motorcycle restricted to the A2 driving licence category (maximum engine power 35 kW) may have an original engine power of no more than 70 kW. After the power restriction, the engine power may not exceed 35 kW, and the power-to-weight ratio may not exceed 0.2 kW/kg.

Atimpex power reduction kits comply with section 8.4 of Traficom's regulation TRAFICOM/497838/03.04.03.00/2019, issued on 18 February 2021, which governs the manufacturer's intended power reduction modification kit. Atimpex kits do not require the conditions set out in section 8.3, as the kit is supplied with a certificate documenting the power reduction, emissions and noise level.

We recommend having the power reduction kit installed at a registered service workshop, as for self-installed kits the inspector has the right to require a visual inspection of the kit's installation. This visual inspection can be avoided by having the kit installed at a service workshop and requesting a stamp/signature on the installation certificate supplied with the kit. The kit can be installed at any registered service workshop — it does not need to be installed at an authorised dealer.
