The outer shell of the Supertech SM-10 helmet is made up of three layers. The outermost shell is constructed from a carbon fibre blend developed exclusively for this product, designed to absorb impact energy more effectively into the material itself and distribute crash forces across a wider area. The second layer consists of a fibre composite that resists crushing while giving the shell flexible properties intended to reduce the forces transmitted to the head. Beneath the outer shell sits a layer containing Aramid fibre, which prevents penetration by external objects. The shells are produced in four different sizes, ensuring the perfect proportions for every fit.

The inner shell is made from EPS polymer, which absorbs the forces transmitted from the outer shell while providing a firm feel against the helmet's interior profile. The density and thickness of the polymer shell varies across different areas of the helmet, delivering the best possible fit without compromising on safety.

The liner is completely unique and features Alpinestars' patented "A-HEAD FIT" system, which offers adjustment options for a personalised fit. Mounted to the inner shell, the system allows adjustments in both height and length. The liner is made from Cool-Max fabric, which effectively repels dirt and dries quickly after washing.

The helmet also features the MIPS system (Multi-Directional Impact Protection System), which dampens the rotational motion transferred to the brain and slows the abrupt stop that is the most harmful of all to the brain in a crash.

The peak is part of the helmet's extremely efficient ventilation system and is also designed to detach from the helmet in the event of a crash. A spare peak is included in the package with your purchase.
