The goal behind the Alpinestars Supertech S-M10 helmet range has been simple: to create the most advanced, protective and high-performing helmet in the world. The aerodynamic, streamlined design of the S-M10 motocross helmet reduces drag and prevents impact forces from concentrating on a single point, delivering maximum protection for the head, neck and spine. The outer shell of the Supertech SM-10 consists of three layers. The outermost shell is made from a carbon fibre blend developed exclusively for this product, designed to absorb impact energy into the material itself and distribute crash forces over a wider area. The second layer is a fibre composite that resists crushing while giving the shell flexible properties intended to reduce the forces transmitted to the head. Beneath the outer shell sits a layer containing Aramid fibre, which prevents penetration by external objects. The shells are produced in four different sizes in total, ensuring the correct proportions for every fit.

The inner shell is made from EPS polymer, which absorbs the forces transmitted from the outer shell while providing a firm feel to the helmet's inner profile. The density and thickness of the polymer shell vary across different parts of the helmet, delivering the best possible fit without sacrificing safety.

The interior liner is entirely unique and features, among other things, Alpinestars' patented "A-HEAD FIT" system, which offers adjustable interior settings for a personalised fit. Mounted to the inner shell, this system allows for both height and length adjustments. The liner is made from Cool-max fabric, which effectively repels dirt and dries quickly after washing.

The helmet also features the MIPS system (Multi Directional Impact Protection System), which dampens rotational motion to the brain and slows sudden deceleration – the most harmful factor to the brain in a crash.

The peak is part of the helmet's highly efficient ventilation system and is also designed to detach from the helmet in the event of an impact. The retail package includes a spare peak with your purchase.
