RK Chains

RK motorcycle chains enable optimal and reliable power transmission. This is why many motorcycle manufacturers choose to equip their bikes with RK chains straight from the factory (including Honda, Suzuki and Triumph).

Many racers and teams also trust the quality of RK chains, such as MotoGP stars: Marquez and Pedrosa (Repsol Honda), Zarco and Folger (Monster Yamaha Tech3), Smith and Espargaro (Red Bull KTM Factory Racing), Iannone and Rins (Team Suzuki ECSTAR), Miller and Rabat (Marc VDS).

Strong Links

The finest materials and complete quality control make RK chains the strongest you can buy. All side plates are stamped from special alloy steel and heat-treated to improve material durability. All pins, rollers and bushings are made from special carbon steel. RK’s specially developed U-grease is used as a filler in all O-, X- and XW-ring chains. The grease is injected under vacuum onto the pins and bushings. After this, the inner sides of the nitrile-butadiene O/RX/XW rings being fitted are effectively and cleanly sealed.

Elongation = Wear

Elongation? Out of the question — and this is exactly what makes RK chains interesting for every motorcyclist. RK chains are pre-stretched, allowing for heavy stress and minimal maintenance requirements.

Differences between sealing rings:

O-ring

O-ring chains have one lubrication channel and two contact surfaces, which provide moderate lubrication properties.

X-ring

In X-ring chains, the cross-section of the sealing ring resembles the letter X. A total of four contact surfaces and two lubrication channels offer better protection against dirt as well as better lubrication properties compared to traditional O-ring chains. Better lubrication properties also mean 30% better wear resistance than traditional O-ring chains.

XW-ring

XW-ring chains have a total of six contact surfaces and three lubrication channels, offering excellent protection against dirt, heat and wear. The multiple contact surfaces also reduce the chain’s rolling resistance, which means greater power at the rear wheel. The properties of the XW-ring chain are superior compared to traditional O-ring chains, as XW-ring chains offer 50% better wear resistance than traditional O-ring chains.
