Take your safety to the next level with the Tech-Air 3 Airbag system.
The Tech-Air 3 Airbag system is Alpinestars' lightest, fully autonomous (it works on its own and doesn't require a GPS signal like some competitors' products) airbag system, designed to be worn either under or over your riding gear. This Airbag system is built for touring, city riding, commuting and light off-road adventure.

Alpinestars' crash detection algorithm has been developed and fine-tuned using data from millions of kilometres of riding and thousands of crashes, allowing the system to assess with extreme precision exactly when the Airbag should deploy. The Tech-Air 3's airbags inflate in just 50 milliseconds. This is an incredibly fast process — for comparison, the average blink of an eye takes 100–400 milliseconds.

- Lithium battery with 40h battery life and a 4h charging time from empty to full
- Operates in temperatures from -20°c to +40°c
- When deployed, it protects the entire chest, back & shoulders.
Please note! If you wear the Tech-Air 3 under your jacket, the fit must be verified on a case-by-case basis. Our sales staff are happy to help with this. The vest needs room to inflate, so there must be at least 4 cm of slack around the chest with the vest on, for example. When worn as the outermost layer, you naturally don't need to verify the fit beyond choosing the size that suits you best. If you have the chance to try on the vest at our store, feel free to bring your own jacket along — we'll put the vest on underneath or over it and sort everything out together.
