The Supertech SM-10 helmet's outer shell is built from three layers. The outermost shell is made from a carbon fibre blend developed exclusively for this product, designed to absorb impact energy more effectively into the material itself and distribute crash forces across a larger area. The second layer consists of a fibre composite that prevents compression while giving the shell flexible properties intended to reduce the forces reaching the head. Beneath the outer shell is an added layer containing Aramid fibre, which prevents the penetration of external objects. The shells are produced in four different sizes in total, ensuring the correct proportions for every fit.

The inner shell is made from EPS polymer, which absorbs the forces transmitted from the outer shell while providing a firm feel to the helmet's interior profile. The density and thickness of the polymer shell vary across different parts of the helmet, delivering the best possible fit without compromising on safety.

The liner is completely unique and features Alpinestars' patented "A-HEAD FIT" system, which offers interior adjustment options to achieve a personalised fit. Attached to the inner shell, the system allows for adjustments in both height and length. The liner is made from Cool-max fabric, which effectively repels dirt and dries quickly after washing.

The helmet also features the MIPS system (Multi Directional Impact Protection System), which dampens rotational motion to the brain and slows down the sudden stop that is most harmful to the brain in a crash.

The peak is part of the helmet's highly effective ventilation system and is also designed to detach from the helmet in the event of a crash. The retail package includes a spare peak with purchase.
